A family-oriented center encompassing multiple disciplines opens its door at The Medical City Clark. The Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Center offers advanced treatments and state-of-the-science imaging devices within reach for patients in Central and North Luzon.

 

Through the use of radioactive substances in the scanning and treatment procedures, our center is able to provide fast and accurate diagnoses for medical conditions of the heart, brain, kidney, and thyroid, various cancers, and bone disorders, among others.

Our Services

Bone Densitometry

Bone Densitometry is recommended for people suspected of having brittle bones; those experiencing height loss; and for people who had bone fractures from an accident. This radiographic method, which uses the DXA machine allows in-depth visualization of your bone mineral density. DXA is the gold standard in the detection of osteoporosis.

 

PET-CT Scan

Detect cancers, lesions, or tumors with the PET/CT scanner. With early detection comes the early treatment of diseases. The latest imaging device available at The Medical City Clark also analyzes people with coronary artery disease, brain or memory disorder, or seizures. The PET/CT scan can also track effectivity of current cancer treatment. The combination of these two imaging modalities Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (CT) Scans eases the diagnosis of cellular abnormalities in a patient.

 

Radioimmunoassay

This diagnostic technique can be used to identify the presence of a specific antibody or antigen in blood or other fluids. The procedure measures substances for more sensitive analysis of drug levels, blood hormone levels (reproductive hormones, cortisol, thyroid hormone, human growth hormones), and cancer traces.

 

Radionuclide Therapy

Nuclear Medicine therapeutic procedures involve the use of radiopharmaceuticals in the treatment of various benign and malignant diseases. By targeting specific organs and lesions, radiation can be safely given intravenously or orally to cure or control diseases.

"As people say, the heart is a traitor. With no symptoms at all, on November 17, 2016, two (2) days after my birthday, I suffered a mild heart attack and was confined in a hospital in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga from November 17-21, 2016. After discharge, in the morning of November 22, 2016, I again felt the chest pains and perspiration (cold sweating). I was rushed to The Medical City Clark and was immediately given the necessary medications and treatment and after the several tests, I was told that I suffered a heart attack. I was taken to the ICU and on November 23, 2016, I underwent an Angiogram and immediately an Angioplasty (Coronary Heart Disease - One Valve Disease). Life after Angioplasty is no longer the same as before the operation but with the proper diet, regular exercises and constant follow-up with the doctors and self-discipline, I can still enjoy a good life with my family and friends.
