Patient Safety and Quality Care
The Medical City, Clark is committed to deliver quality healthcare to ensure customer satisfaction. Our pledge is to continually improve our Quality Management System and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Quality Standard System Certification
Last July 24, 2019, The Medical City Clark Ambulatory Surgical Center is awarded a Quality Standard System (QSS) Certification by the Philippine Accreditation on Healthcare Organization (PCAHO).
The QSS certification shows our continuous commitment excellence in quality service to our clients. This ensures that we comply with the highest standards of quality and safety. Through this certification various quality improvement projects are implemented which focus on ensuring clients receive the right care with the right time and right resource. In the Philippines, the PCAHO is the recognized accrediting body of the Department of Health (DOH) in certifying the presence of an exceptional Quality Management System in healthcare institutions.
The QSS is similar to Quality Management System of ISO 9000:2000 with major difference of having specific requirements based on the operations of healthcare medical clinics as compared to a set of generic standards of the ISO.

Culture of Safety
I Speak Up, I Own Campaign
All staff and TMC Clark partners are encouraged to speak and voice out their quality and safety practices on their units. With the campaign, the staff are also encouraged to voice out quality and safety issues without the fear of being reprimanded or punished.
Patient safety is the top priority of the institution, hence, the presence of hospital safety officer and committee to oversee the over-all safety of the whole institutions. The hospital ensures Disaster Preparedness and Risk Reduction by conducting regular Safety Audit and Awareness Campaign. Compliance to Safety regulations and government policies are utmost observed.
Infection Prevention and Control
The presence of Infection Control Committee oversees all the programs relating to infection prevention and control in the hospital. Monitoring of hospital acquired infection is also part of the Safety programs and ensuring that activities relating to the prevention of such are being planned and implemented. Compliance to hand hygiene practice is also part of the culture to ensure healthy environment for both patients and employees.
